The location of this image and the background doesn't work as it detracts from the model. However having the model styled with bare feet, gives it that animalistic and wild feeling. Once again the hat frames the face, but the background is way too busy. If I was to edit this picture to make it better, what I would do is blur the background and make it out of focus also I would make the model clearer and sharper so she was more in focus. If I was to retake this image, I would either change the location or bring the model more into the foreground. I would also change the pose, because the leading lines of the hat and her hands draw your eyes down towards the floor and away from the models face.
This photo is very well composed. The lighting reflects of the inside of the hollowed out tree. This tree also acts as a leading like and leads the audience's eye down to the model who is posed crouched on the floor, as if she was an animal. If I was to recreate this again I would change the background because it is too busy and detracts from the main focus of the image - the model. Also I would move the camera so the model and the hollowed out tree were more in the foreground, catching the on - lookers attention straight away. The pose of the model gives some leading lines by the way the arms are at the foreground, drawing your eyes up to the model and then the hat frames the face drawing your attention into the middle. If I was to edit this image better I would sharpen the image, contrast the colours so they stood out more, and do eye management to make the white of the eyes more white and stand out, being the main focus of the face, because at the moment they are quite dull.
There is one part about the composition of this photo which doesn't work - and that is the branch which stands out and goes into the tree, being the green plant against the black of the hollowed out makes it stand out more, and the colours contrast. If I was to redo this image I would lower the camera and get a long full body shot, and get ride of the top section which isn't doing anything for the photo. The model isn't as clear, in focus and bold as I would have hoped. She is the main focus and she needs to stand out more, she blends into the image and it looks quite dull. I tried to compose this using the rule of thirds however this gives the picture too much background, I should have cropped it or zoomed into the models face.
This photo works so well because it really gives you a sense of where the model is (the jungle). The background isn't too busy and doesn't have much going on,but this is stronger than if it was really full because it means the focus is on the model. The trees act as leading lines and also frame the model, drawing the on lookers attention to her. The green ivy really works in this, because it gives it a splash of colour, as all the other colours are quite dull. I have composed this using the rule of thirds, and in this image I feel it works because it draws your eye into the centre. I have posed the model like this because the arms work as leading lines, because if you follow them up or down you automatically see the models face.
The composition of this image doesn't work! The hate and hair frame the face and the facial expressions from the model are amazing but the angle of the camera, and the background do not look correct! The leaf in the foreground is the only one so stands out, this is emphasised with it not being in focus. I had cropped the top of the hat of because I wanted to do like Rankin did with the close up of the face, however I needed to be a lot more dramatic and severe and cut of half of the hat or even the whole top section. This is how I would do it if i recreated it again.
This image works a lot better than the one above, however in this case, I feel I should have cropped some of the foreground out as there is too much of it, and this takes the focus away from the model. The pose of the model is perfect and very animalisticBora Tarhan has done with hers. The hat adds texture to the image as well as the leaves. The tree trunk in the background is a subtle leading line, however your eye gets drawn to it then you follow the body along to the models face. There is one aspect I would change about this image, and that is the twig which is in the foreground, it is ok to have leaves as that tells the story and sets the seen but the twig draws the attention away from the model.
This image really annoys me because I managed to get my finger in the left hand corner! I have composed this so there are two different leading lines, the one across the background which your eyes follow to meet the one that goes from the background to the foreground - which the model is sat on. That helps the main focus to be on the model. The background works as it tells the audience where it is set - outside, although it doesn't look exactly like a jungle. The reflection on the water shows that it is water down there and again shows the on looker where abouts its set. There is second aspect that annoys me about this image and that is the one green leaf that goes over the models are. It isn't in the correct place and shouldn't be there!
I find this picture humorous, because of the pose of the model. It is so unflattering and doesn't work. The hands being on the knees exaggerate the way she is sat and makes that the centre of attention. By having her arms out stretched makes her look bigger than she is and this is never good, it makes her look square, which no person is. Another aspect of this image which doesn't work is the background, it doesn't set the scene and no part of this image shows that she is in a jungle. I have tried to compose this image using the rule of thirds, however nothing is going to make this image look correct. I wouldn't try to recreate this because it hasn't worked. The models face is very clear and not the main focus of the image - what it should be.
This image works well for me, although it doesn't set any st pry or tell the on looker anything about it. It is a very plain picture. The simpleness is great because it means the main focus is on the model and her face, there is nothing else to distract from this. The hat frames the face really well and makes this the main focus. The eyes are which and stand out against the rest of the parts of the face. The arms are being used as leading lines and so are the lines of the fence panels.
