One of my ideas was to use different eras in my fashion photography, so to do this I will have to find out what makes then unique. While also trying to find the one I like the most.
60's fashion -

The fashion of the 60's was hippies, so bright colours, mainly clashing and very patterned clothes (flower power.) This was the same for men and women, consisting of; flared trousers and tie die tops. They also used accessories such as necklaces, and glasses.
Also in the 60's men started to wear suits and dress up smart. And women started to wear mini skirts and dresses which were shot - showing some flesh. This was also emphasised by the bikini coming into fashion. The dresses were bold patterns and very bright. This was a time when women could be 'free' and do what they want. They started to be individual and show who they really are. This was also shown by women doing their hair in different way such as; flip, pixie and beehive.

The fashion in the 70's was a lot like the 60's however a lot more extravagant and bold. So the mini - skirt got shorter, the flared trousers got bigger and bolder. Also they 'inverented' the jumpsuit, which was an all in one piece of clothing, trousers and top combined.
For the men, denim became big and wasn't only just for trousers (jeans), there became denim tops, and waistcoats.
80's fashion -

In the 80's everything became very bold and statemented. This was the time of the leg warmers, colourful exercise jackets, patterned trousers, and the sun glasses / retro glasses became a big want. Also coloured jeans became a must have - which have gone round in a massive circle and people today are buying the same things.
Another thing that became massive - DJ Hammer trousers, with the low crotches. A famous person, who made these big were Will Smith, and I must admit he could pull them off!
90's fashion -

In the 90's high tops and dungarees became big. The high tops, mainly for me and dungarees for women. Also checkered shirts and over sized tops became big for both genders. At this point though, everyone was starting to become their own individual person and have their own style - not following a trend as such. It was at this time that, 'goths', 'chavs' 'emos' ect started.Once these groups of people started they all had their own way of dressing and how to be a group. So goths wore all back, chavs had recognised trade marks such as nike and mckenzie.
2000's fashion -

This was when everyone started to be themselves and not follow trends, however crocs became a big fashion sense in the summer. Personally I feel they are some of the worst things ever invented, but some people liked them so its their own choice
