The composition of this image is what completes it and bring it all together. There is a shallow depth of field - how there is subtly a camera in her hand, however it is slightly blurred by the window. The reason why there is a shallow depth of field is to make sure the main focus is on the model, and there is nothing to distract you and take away the focus. The top of the car and the top of the window frame the picture, drawing you eye into the models face, which is in the middle. the quirky props used in this photo, establish the ear, the 60's. These are the necklace, gloves, outfit and camera.There has been some editing done, however, I feel there has only been slight adjustments, such as the contrast, to enhance the colours of the outfit and bring them out, and also to make the white a pure white. There has also been airbrushing, to make her skin flawless, as well there has been eye management, to make the white of her eyes whiter, to bring them out and make them the main focus on her face. This is enhance but the face eye lashes which the model has. This draws the on - lookers attention to the eyes. Having the camera outside the car, creates the feeling that 'we' as an audience are looking into the car. By composing the model to have plain facial expressions, creates the emotion and mood of the picture. The pearls and the gloves are the same colour and compliment each other. This is the same for the hat and jacket. These partly add to the mood of the image, because of the bright colour, but it also adds to the recognisable era.

This image is very well composed becuase she has done subtle elements which complete the picture.

The reason why the picture is composed like this is because having the top of the car in the pictures frames it drawing your eye into the model, this also helps with the leg being a lighter colour and being in the foreground because it draws your eyes upwards to the models face. This picture works in black and white better than what it would have done in colour, because it means there is no focus taken away from the model, who being the main element is what the photographer wanted. Also it shows the era and gives it a different edge to it. This is also emphasised by the clothes which the model is wearing, the accessories such as sun glasses, gloves and shoes. Once again the props being used, the car and the bag in the other seat, this really tells the story of the image. My favourite part of this image is the styling and the fashion. It is very simple however it makes a bold statement.

 

The shallow depth of field is blurred in this photo meaning the on – lookers attention is drawn to the models face, also showing the background is not important. This image is a very simple image, with the main focus being on the model’s face. The gloves compliment with the white on the collar of her dress and on the sleeves, with the white on the hat and also with the white from outside the window, it makes this picture look bright and makes it stand out.  The top of the car and the seat frame the picture however the bottom of the hat and the top of the arms / hands frame the face.
